Natives of Prussia (Germany), the Heimer family immigrated to the United States during the 19th century, settling in New Braunfels, Texas.

Scope and Contents

Comprising legal documents, financial records, plat maps, genealogy and research materials, and photographs, the Heimer Family Papers, 1853-1960, 2011-2001, and undated, chronicle the settlement of the Heimer family in New Braunfels, Texas. Legal documents consist of deeds, land grants, indentures, and survey field notes concerning the family’s ownership of land in Comal County. Likewise, plat maps illustrate property in New Braunfels and Comal County. Additionally, documents provided by the San Antonio Genealogical and Historical Society as well as the Texas General Land Office relate to genealogical and historical research, while photographs depict members of Heimer family, especially newly wedded couples.
