Ruggles Narrative, 1929, contains a typescript of an article written by Ruggles appearing in the November 26, 1929 issue of The Dallas Morning News, documenting the history of the Amaroc News, the official newspaper of the American Forces in Germany during World War I. The narrative describes the life of the newspaper, including its beginning, its editors, its circulation, and its purpose.

Biographical Note

William B. Ruggles (1891-1988) was an editor and writer for several Texas journals and newspapers. He was the sixth executive director of The Alcalde, holding the position for just one year before being offered employment at the Galveston Daily News; though, Ruggles continued to work as an editor and contributing writer for The Alcalde for the following twenty years. In 1942, he served in the U. S. Army during World War II, and upon his return began working as editor for The Dallas Morning News, until retiring in 1960.
