A Guide to the William B. Ruggles Narrative, 1929
Biographical NoteWilliam B. Ruggles (1891-1988) was an editor and writer for several Texas journals and newspapers. He was the sixth executive director of The Alcalde, holding the position for just one year before being offered employment at the Galveston Daily News; though, Ruggles continued to work as an editor and contributing writer for The Alcalde for the following twenty years. In 1942, he served in the U. S. Army during World War II, and upon his return began working as editor for The Dallas Morning News, until retiring in 1960. Source: “William B.
