A Guide to the Kallah of Texas Rabbis Records, 1982-1994
Founded in Houston, Texas, in 1927, the Kallah of Texas Rabbis works to encourage Jewish scholarship and to support the Abraham I. Schechter Collection of Judaica and Hebraica at the University of Texas at Austin’s Perry-Castañeda Library.
Composed of correspondence, programs, resolutions, financial documents, and membership lists, the Kallah of Texas Rabbis Records, 1982-1994, documents the activities of the organization during the 1980s and the 1990s. Correspondence concerns new memberships, the annual meetings, and various rabbis, while financial records consist of proposed budgets for the annual meetings. Additionally, the collection includes resolutions, programs for the annual meetings, and lists of members.
