A Guide to the Rosalie Bridget Hart Priour Reminiscences, [ca. 1867]
Biographical NoteBorn to Tom Hart and Elizabeth O’Leary in Ballymoney, Wexford County, Ireland, Rosalie Bridget Hart Priour (1825-1903) immigrated with her family to the United States in 1834. Following her father’s death upon their arrival, Rosalie and her widowed mother settled in Refugio, Texas. During the Texas Revolution, she and her family fled to Mobile, Alabama, where in 1844 Rosalie married Jean Marie Priour, with whom she had ten children.
