			<p>Composed of interview and presentation transcripts, news clippings, and printed materials, the Oral History of Education Records, 1948-1983, chronicle education policy and educators in Texas from 1948 to 1983. Interview subjects include politicians, Preston Smith, Allan Shivers, Claud Gilmer, A. M. Aikin, and Price Daniel, and educator J. W. Edgar. Newspaper clippings concern educators, particularly Edgar, as well as educational debates. Additionally, reports from the Texas Education Agency and scholarly articles concern educational policies, particularly the Gilmer-Aikin Committee on Education, debates, and studies.</p>
