Biographical NoteBorn to Albert Leslie Teagarden and Lucretia Graves in Calvert, Texas, Mable Teagarden (d. 1958) married Henry Elbert Lasseter in 1874. The couple settled in Tyler, Smith County, Texas, where they raised their son Henry Elbert Lasseter, Jr. During the early 20th century, Lasseter was involved in the Woman Suffrage movement as a charter member of the Smith County Equal Franchise League, for which she served as the corresponding secretary.
