Biographical Note
Born in Noxubee County, Mississippi, Henry M. Hunter (1826-1901) lived in Macon, where he worked as a farmer. During the Civil War, he enlisted in Company G of the 1st Mississippi Cavalry Regiment in the Confederate Army.
