Hodge served as the secretary and treasurer of the Campaign Association for the West Texas Agricultural and Mechanical College (later Texas Technological College), helping to establish the college in 1916. Hodge Reminiscences, 1926, documenting Hodge’s involvement in the founding and the history of West Texas Agricultural and Mechanical College. The reminiscences concern Hodge’s lobbying efforts to gather support and funding for the college as well as the role of various politicians in its formation. Additionally, the college’s transformation to the Texas Technological College is briefly discussed.
