Biographical Note

Born in Hornsby Bend, Texas, in 1865, William Benjamin Loveless later moved to Hoover's Valley, near Marble Falls, and married Josie Blackshear. Josie Blackshear was born in Tennessee in 1867 but her family moved to Round Rock and later Purmela, Texas.


Scope and Contents

Typed transcripts compiled by Barbara Loveless Harris in 1979, consisting of letters composed by Barbara's grandparent, William Benjamin Loveless and Josie Blackshear Loveless, in the years 1886-1887. Most letters were written from Hoover's Valley, Texas (Burnet County), Purmela, Texas (Coryell County), and Marble Falls, Texas (Burnet County). Many of the letters are of a romantic nature between the two, while others involve family correspondence. Also included is genealogical information on the Loveless family compiled by Barbara Loveless Harris.
