A typescript composes the J. P. Earle Narrative, 1900, chronicling Earle’s research on the history of Clay County, Texas. The typescript concerns the towns of Henrietta and Cambridge as well as some of the first settlers and Native Americans of the county, including Wilson Gilbert, Quanah Parker, and John S. Babb, among others. Additionally, it discusses relations between the white settlers and the Comanche tribe, Bison hunting, and life on the frontier.
