Biographical NoteBorn in Mexia, Texas, Margaret Armstrong (b. 1857) married George M. Bowie in 1875. The couple lived with their son Willie in the Keechi Valley region of Jack County, Texas, where George worked as a teacher at the Salt Hill School.
