Scope and ContentsConsisting chiefly of clippings, the Baptists Scrapbook, 1845, [ca. 1910-1947], documents the history of Baptists in Texas during the first half of the 20th century. The clippings concern activities, projects, scandals, and history of Baptist churches, Baptist associations, Baptist preachers, and prominent Baptist citizens of Texas. Additionally, the collection includes minutes, a directory, a constitution, reports, and other documents created in 1934 by the San Antonio Baptist Association as well as a transcript of the 1845 charter for a Liberty County church.
