Historical NoteIn 1885, Virginia-native Richard Boyd Spencer (1858-1923) founded the R. B. Spencer and Company lumber business in Dublin, Texas. By the time of his death, the company owned over 30 lumber yards in towns across Texas and Oklahoma, including the Hutto Lumber Co. in Hutto, Texas. Source: "Death of R. B. Spencer."
