Historical NoteFounded in 1935, the Austin Community Concert Association hosted classical, operatic, and other performances in Austin, Texas. Officers included President H. T. Parlin and Secretary-Treasurer/General Manager Lois Trice. Following the departure of Trice in 1953, the Association disbanded two years later. The scrapbooks contain photographs, programs, tickets, membership cards, newspaper clippings, and correspondence related to performances by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, soprano Bidu Sayao, dancer Carola Goya, violinist Joseph Szigeti, mime Angna Enters, and pianist Clifford Curzon, among others.
