			<head>Historical Note</head>
			<p>Founded by Joseph Cullen Root in 1891, the Woodmen Circle was a women’s auxiliary of
				the Woodmen of the World organization until 1895, when it became incorporated as the Supreme Forest
				Woodmen Circle, a fraternal benefit society. On September 4, 1906, the Childress
				Grove No. 544 Woodmen Circle was founded by a group of women, including Guardian
				Mrs. T.E. Rush, Magician Mrs. Ed Forbes, Banker Mrs. W. H. Thrasher, and others.</p>
