Biographical/Historical NoteAnastassios "Tassos" Rigopoulos earned an M.F.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997. His thesis, a documentary entitled Texas & the Death Penalty, chronicled the history of the death penalty in Texas, winning a Certificate of Merit from the 41st Annual Gavel Awards Competition of the American Bar Association in 1998.
