Comprised of fifty audiocassettes, transcripts, and questionnaires, the French in Texas Oral History Collection, 2000, documents the interviews conducted by François Lagarde for his book, The French in Texas: History, Migration, Culture. The interviewees discuss their background, their reasons for and experiences immigrating to Texas, their thoughts on naturalization and raising children as Americans, and how they define themselves in terms of their bi-culturalism, among other topics.
