A Guide to the Garrie F. Coe Notebook, ca. 1937-1938
Born in Navarro County in 1872, Garrie F. Coe served in the 2nd Texas Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Spanish-American War, which remained in the States during the war.
The Garrie F. Coe Notebook, ca. 1937-1938, documents the experiences of Coe serving in the Spanish-American War as well as providing biographical information. The diary includes fragments of information about disabilities Coe suffered since 1898, a list of contacts, and information about Coe’s three wives as well as other familial and personal affairs.
This collection is open for research use.
