Biographical NoteIn accomplice with his brothers Tommie and Luther Bell and another man named John Miller, Foster Bell murdered father and son Ernest and Robert Schaffner near Sealy, Texas, on September 5, 1922. During Bell’s trial which commenced on April 2, 1923, he was represented by J. E. Edmondson, W. T. Hill, Charles R. Johnson, and Dave J. Pickle, while Fred Blundell, Dan Moody, T. H. Gregor, and John E. Shelton represented the State of Texas.
