A Guide to the S.M. Templeton Narrative, 1931
S.M. Templeton served as a reverend in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Texas from the late nineteenth century to the 1930s.
The S.M. Templeton Narrative, 1931, consists of photocopy edition of “A Paper on Early Cumberland Presbyterian History in Texas,” written by Templeton. The paper provides biographies of early Cumberland Presbyterians in Texas, notably Sumner Bacon, the formation of the Texas Synod, educational institutions founded by the Cumberland Presbyterians, and the Shiloh-Clarksville Church.
This collection is open for research use.
