			<head>Scope and Contents</head>
<p>Comprised of newspaper clippings and pamphlets, the Tarrant County Scrapbook, [ca. 1910-1955], documents the social and political affairs of Tarrant County’s citizens from the early to mid-20th century. Although the county as a whole is represented, the vast majority of clippings from a variety of newspapers, including the <emph render="italic">Dallas Morning News</emph> and <emph render="italic">Fort Worth Star-Telegram</emph>, concern Fort Worth and its notable citizens. The collection contains alphabetized obituaries of Tarrant County’s citizenry, while also discussing local history, Fort Worth’s civic growth, and social issues. Additionally, the scrapbook includes a copy of a pamphlet entitled <emph render="italic">Frances Cooke Van Zandt Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas</emph> (1931-1932) and several issues of the <emph render="italic">Woman’s Wednesday Club</emph> pamphlet (1934-1935).</p>
