Comprised of three published reports, the Tarrant County Reports, 1928, 1929, 1935, document Tarrant County’s proposed construction and maintenance of highways and dams in Tarrant County, Texas. The first report, An Engineer’s Report to the Highway Committee of the Association of Commerce on the Proposed Reconstruction and Improvement of State Highways in Tarrant County, Texas (1928), prepared by R. A. Thompson, contains traffic census information, demographic statistics, and descriptions of projects with associated costs, while the second report written by John B. Hawley and S. W. Freese, Eagle Mountain and Bridgeport Dams (1929), outlines financial and logistical plans for the control and improvement of dams in Tarrant County. Finally, a third report by E. P. Arneson, Tarrant County Texas Proposed Plan for State Highways (1935), includes maps, budgets, and project plans for the creation of highways in the greater Fort Worth-area.
