Biographical NoteBorn in Georgia, Joseph T. Tally (1806-1880) and his wife Margaret H. had at least three children: Margaret, Jeff, and another son. Their sons fought for the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Their daughter Margaret married J. D. Davis and lived in Bastrop, Texas, while Jeff resided in Oklahoma.
