Biographical Note
Born in Mooreville, Mississippi, Texas Ranger, hunter, and merchant W. F. "Dick" Sullivan (b. 1854) moved to Pilot Point, Texas, in 1868. Eventually he relocated to San Saba, Texas.

Scope and Contents
Comprised of a reminiscence and poem entitled "The Passing of the Old Texas Ranger," the W. F. "Dick" Sullivan Reminiscences, 1923, chronicle Sullivan’s experiences as a Texas Ranger and a hunter.
