Biographical NoteParalee Parish was a field nurse in the U. S. Army Nursing Corp stationed in Paris, France, during World War I. She was returned to the United States in February 1919. Army field nurse stationed in Paris, France, during World War I. The diary describes Parish’s social life as well as field conditions and casualties, including profiles of some of her officer patients. An article from a Parisian paper concerns the armistice and clippings from British papers describe wartime movements and policies.
