			<p>The Charles Adelbert Herff Reminiscences, [ca. 1860]-1879, consist of articles,
				reminiscences, and drawings by Herff concerning vigilantes and criminals, such as
				Bob Augustine, in Reconstruction-era San Antonio, Texas. The collection also
				includes Herff’s 1879 article, <title render="doublequote">Cannibalism in the United
					States,</title> as well as excerpts from the reminiscences of Zenas R. Bliss and
				Jesse Sumpter and from <title render="italic">With the Border Ruffians, Memories of
					the Far West, 1852-1868</title> by R. H. Williams.</p>
