			<p>The William Job Hale Letters, 1863-1870, document Hale’s military activities in the
				Confederate Army during the Civil War and personal affairs in Texas. Two copies of a
				typescript volume consist of biographical information on Hale as well as
				correspondence between him and others, including Mary Sue Norris Hale and Emerson
				Monroe Scarbrough.</p>
