Historical NoteThese images are copy prints from the personal collection of Dr. Howard C. Williams of Orange, Texas. Return to the Table of Contents Scope and ContentsCollection documents the town of Orange, Texas from 1890-1986, with the majority of the images in the 1900s to 1930s. Included are the Lutcher and Moore Lumber Company, various churches, boats and ships both civilian and military and the Orange Leader and Daily Tribune circulation department on foot and horseback in 1904. Among the parades and gatherings portrayed are church groups and people awaiting the arrival of the U. S. Torpedo Fleet in 1910; individuals include all the sheriffs of Orange County from 1920 to 1968. The Ku Klux Klan from nearby Vidor is also depicted (in 1971).
