Correspondence, a poem, and a genealogical narrative compose the William Clinton
Chambers Family Papers, 1862-1897, [ca. 1943], and concern the military career of
Chambers and the Chambers family. The correspondence, 1862, 1864, consists of
letters to Burrilla Chambers from William Clinton Chambers, J. H. Chambers, J. A.
Morris and S. M. Wood. The letters relate to health and personnel movements of
Confederate camps in Texas and Arkansas, as well as the announcements of William’s
and his brother J. M. Chambers’ deaths. The 1892 poem is written by Margaret Ann
Chambers to her son Windsor, and the genealogical narrative is by Margaret Ann
Chambers and Mary Willie Harris Nichols, 1897, [ca. 1943].
