			<head>Biographical Sketch</head>
			<p>Glenn Estes Dill recorded live radio broadcasts onto glass-based record discs in the
				1940s. He taped them directly from the radio onto a wire recorder and then
				transferred them to records. These recordings consist mainly of speeches given over
				the radio during World War II by Franklin D. Roosevelt and others, including Winston
				Churchill. </p>

			<p>The Glenn Estes Dill Collection, [ca. 1940-1949], consists of 55 fragile glass-based
				discs of radio speeches from the 1940s. Specifically, the recordings pertain to
				World War II, 1941-1945; speeches given by Franklin D. Roosevelt, 1941-1944; the
				Democratic National Convention, 1944; speeches given by Winston Churchill,
				1942-1944; and miscellaneous broadcasts, 1942-1948 and undated.</p>
