A Guide to the David E. Sponberg Slide Collection ca. 1968-1977
David E. Sponberg (1901-1984) was born in Elgin, Texas. He attended Texas A & M University and worked for the Secretary of State’s Office as a franchise auditor and also in the state comptroller’s office.
Collection consists primarily of images of wildflowers and some birds, mainly from the Big Thicket and Big Bend areas, with one set of images from Lake Louise in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. Also included are azaleas and other cultivated flowers from Oklahoma and Texas.
