Marcus C. Hammond was a U.S. Army Paymaster and farmer.
Scope and Contents
The Marcus C. Hammond Letterbook-Diary contains copies of letters written by Hammond while U.S. Army paymaster in 1846 to 1847, as well as a sort of diary and account book of his farm from 1858 to 1868.
