Cochran Reminiscences, 1930, contain transcripts of Cochran’s recollections about his life as a cowboy in Palo Pinto County, Texas. In one recollection he describes a cattle drive to Mexico in 1864 and another to Montana in 1869. In another he discusses campaigns against and troubles with American Indians and the cattle business in the county, including names of prominent cattlemen and cowboys, their practices, and accounts of raids by cattle thieves.
