Biographical NoteJ. R. Coryell (b.ca. 1840-1901) was a land merchant from the mid 1870s. He lived in Galveston, Texas, with his wife and four children. Coryell collected material relating to John Austin (1801-1833), a distant relative of Stephen F. Austin. Return to the Table of Contents Scope and ContentsThe J. R.
