George Lee Cordova was a depot agent for the Missouri Pacific and Southern Pacific
Railroads while at McNeil and Round Rock, Texas. He worked for the railroads in San
Antonio (1925-1938), in McNeil and Round Rock (1938-1970), and in Austin (1970s).

The George Lee Cordova Papers, 1876-1973, were gathered and produced in part by
George Lee Cordova while he was a depot agent for the Missouri Pacific and Southern
Pacific Railroads at McNeil and Round Rock, Texas. The records provide documentation
of commercial activities in the Travis and Williamson County area of Texas. They
include cash books, railroad car records, railroad broadsides, way bills, Missouri
Pacific and Southern Pacific Train orders, messages, sales tickets, railroad
communications, union materials, railroad internal communications bulletins, daily
car reports, maps, railroad retirement board, list of Southern Pacific stations,
letters and letter press book, railroad billings, Wells Fargo Express Co. account
book, and various railroad publications.
