The Texas Symposium on Relativistic Astrophysics is a biennial symposium focusing on
the latest observations and developments in astronomy and physics, specifically
relating to relativistic astrophysics. Alfred Schild and Ivor Robinson co-founded
the symposium, a collaboration between the University of Texas at Austin and the
University of Texas at Dallas, in 1962. The first four meetings were held at either
Austin or Dallas, but the international appeal of the symposium led to convocations
in New York, Boston, Munich, Baltimore, and Tel Aviv.
