A Guide to the Texas-Mexico Border Photo Postcards, ca. 1911-1917
Historical NoteThe Mexican Revolution (1910-1920) caused a great many disturbances along the Texas-Mexico border. A number of photographers spent valuable time in the region recording events, primarily troop movements in Texas and political and military activities in Mexico. Two of these photographers, D. W. Hoffman and F. C. Hecox, are represented in this collection. Return to the Table of Contents Scope and ContentsThe collection consists of photo postcards of Fort Bliss, El Paso, Juarez, and the Rio Grande region. Included are soldiers, civilians, and military and political leaders such as Francisco Madero, Lucio Blanco and Pascual Orozco, among others.
