Biographical NoteJohn T. Davis is a music journalist, who focuses primarily on music, music personalities, and culture in Texas and the Southwest. His work has appeared in the Austin-American Statesman, the Austin Chronicle, Texas Monthly, Austin Monthly, Texas Highways, San Antonio magazine, Billboard, and Newsday. Furthermore, he appeared in the documentary film, Lubbock Lights. He authored the book Austin City Limits: 25 Years of American Music and assisted in the preparation of other books, including a biography of Jerry Jeff Walker and a travel guide to Texas.
