Biographical Note
Henry M. Field was a merchant and owner of the H. M. Field Commercial Company, a general supply store for the farmers and residents of Brownsville, Texas, as well as one of the early settlers of Brownsville.
Scope and Contents
The Henry M. Field Papers, 1892-1916, document the H. M. Field Commercial Company, business affairs with army posts, family business problems, Mexican revolutionaries in Brownsville area, and railroad construction.
