Henry M. Field was a merchant and owner of the H. M. Field Commercial Company, a general supply store for the farmers and residents of Brownsville, Texas, as well as one of the early settlers of Brownsville.

Field Commercial Company, business affairs with army posts, family business problems, Mexican revolutionaries in Brownsville area, and railroad construction.
