			<head>Biographical Note</head>
			<p>John Tyler, Jr. (1790–1862) was the tenth President of the United States (1841–1845)
				and the first to succeed to the office following the death of a predecessor (William
				Henry Harrison). The most significant and famous accomplishment of his term of
				office was the annexation of Texas in 1845.</p>
