Biographical NotePeter Simon is a photographer, photojournalist, and music historian. During a 40-year career he has documented the Sixties, reggae, rock and roll, baseball, Martha’s Vineyard and many other timely topics. He lives on Martha’s Vineyard with his wife Ronni; they have a gallery there that displays his life’s work. Return to the Table of Contents Scope and ContentsPhotographs in this collection include Robert Kennedy campaigning in the Bronx in 1964; Rachel and Jackie Robinson, 1967; Timothy Leary, 1968; a 1969 moratorium demonstration in Washington, D. C.; the Band playing Harvard Stadium, 1970; a commune family photo, 1970; Ted Kennedy in 1973; Keith Richards, Mick Jagger and Peter Tosh on Saturday Night Live in 1979; and Bill and Hillary Clinton at Jewish services on Martha’s Vineyard in 1995.
