Biographical Note

Haldor Nielsen (1883-1953) emigrated from Denmark to Texas in 1900 and became a naturalized citizen in 1910. During World War I he was a civilian instructor in woodworking at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. He married Signe Pettersen in 1929; they lived in Austin, Texas, and had one son, Haldor, Jr.
