		<head>Biographical Note</head><p>Mary Lee Edwards held a bachelor of arts
		  from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a talented photojournalist
		  whose work was exhibited in Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Seguin, and Mexico
		  City. She was a resident of Austin, Texas, where she died on February 2, 2001
		  at the age of 58.</p>

		<p>The 23 prints in this collection are accompanied by short poems about
		  the images. They reflect their creator’s interest in all aspects of life and
		  her deep sympathy for every kind of person, especially those who lacked in what
		  society deems the advantages needed for a good life. Young and old, happy and
		  sad, they are all equal in Edwards’ lens and all are heroes in their own ways.
