The DeWitt family settled near Newburg in Comanche County around 1870.

The collection includes studio portraits of the DeWitt family taken in Comanche County from 1890 to 1920 as well as images of houses and outdoor pictures of family members. Also included are a number of unidentified portraits as well as a notebook, several obituaries and a newspaper clipping.
