			<p>The Ed and Birdie Dawley Performing Arts Collection, 1953-1997, contains programs,
				playbills, magazines and newspaper clippings about local and touring companies of
				ballet and dance, opera and musicals, plays, mime (primarily Marcel Marceau), and
				other performing arts primarily in Houston. The collection is first divided into two
				series, programs and playbills in the first and periodicals in the second. Programs
				and playbills is further divided by type of performance and then by touring company
				or by nationality of the companies.</p>
