A Guide to the Vietnamese Immigrants Oral History Collection, 1992, 2008
In 2008, the Victoria College/University of Houston-Victoria Library directed an oral history project titled “The Vietnamese of the Texas Gulf Coast,” resulting in the interviews in this collection. Dr. Sara Massey conducted the interviews. Also included in the collection is one interview from 1992, conducted by Kathryn Winkelman for the Aransas County Historical Commission.
Collection consists of forty-nine oral history interviews of Vietnamese immigrants to the Texas Gulf Coast, including residents of Rockport, Palacios, Port Lavaca, Fulton, and Seadrift, Texas. For each oral history interview, there is an audio interview on compact disc (CD), interview transcripts, and a photograph of the interviewee. Note that one interview has no audio CD, and one interview has no photograph.
Copyright to interviews is held by the Victoria College/University of Houston-Victoria Library.
