Biographical NoteBorn to Daniel and Jane Ross Wade, Dr. Walter Wade (1810-1862) was a practicing physician as well as the owner of Oak Hill Plantation and Rosswood Plantation in Jefferson County, Mississippi. Family members include his wife Martha Wade, uncle James T. Wade, brother Wilson Wade, nephews D. B. and Walter Wade, niece M. S. Young, and nephews Samuel C. and Charles Young.
