	 <head>Scope and Contents</head>
<p>Photographs by Louanne Pulliam document the 1970s in Southeast
		<geogname>Texas</geogname>, particularly
		<geogname>Galveston</geogname> and
		<geogname>Houston</geogname>. Galveston images (
<unitdate>1978-1980</unitdate>) feature scenes of the sea-wall, beaches,
buildings, and downtown, including scenes of flooding and fog. Many depict
adults and children, particularly African Americans, in recreational
situations. Houston images feature a number of cafe and stadium concerts with
		musicians such as
		<persname>Michael Murphy</persname>,
		<persname>Boz Scaggs</persname>,
		<persname>Stephen Stills</persname>,
<persname>David Crosby</persname>, and the Beach Boys. Other Houston
images are predominantly of persons and scenes at Memorial Park, in the
downtown area, and of diners at Walgreens and the Harvest Moon Cafe. Galveston-
Houston area photographs include beach scenes at Bolivar Peninsula and Kemah,
high school basketball games in Winnie, and Gilley's Bar in Pasadena. Several
		Austin-area photographs of a
<persname>Willie Nelson </persname>picnic feature Willie Nelson and Leon
Russell. Arranged geographically by city. </p>
