Alex Bond Corder spent his childhood in Mercedes and Sinton, Texas, and spent his
tour of duty in China while serving in the U.S. Army, 1946-1947. Corder married
Naomi “Jo” Langenderfer, who served in the U.S. Navy WAVES, 1944-1946.

Newspaper clippings, photographs, certificates, and correspondence relate to Alex
Bond Corder's childhood in Texas and army service in China. Also included are papers
relating to his late wife Naomi and her naval service, as well as a project by
fourth graders at the Nanny Elementary School in Riviera, Texas, to describe the
school to Mr. Corder.
